Integrated product definition using sophisticated CAD tools enables quicker, more precise design. At the same time these virtual models allow pre-production CAE simulations to be carried out to avoid any errors and to optimise designs and minimise costs.
Currently we use the following CAD design tools in our engineering services:
- Catia, by Dassault Systèmes
- Solidworks, by Dassault Systèmes
- Nx , by Siemens
- Creo, by PTC
The entities that form a CAD model often need to be in a specific, standard work environment in order to standardise the design criteria specified by the customer. These entities that form the model have to meet standardisation criteria and must have uniform characteristics to facilitate integration and communications between the different project stakeholders.
This environment also establishes the drawing formats to be used, the mechanical characteristics of parts, materials, finishes and even their spatial positioning in relation to a common starting point.
At the same time, the models created are verified using a check tool to ensure that they comply with the specified design requirements. These work environments are used both for designing and for validating designs:
- Enginnering Package by Volkswagen for Catia.
- Validat by Volkswagen for Catia
- Toolkit by GM-Opel for NX
- Checkmate by GM-Opel for NX
- Other check tools
